Anaemia is said to be present when concentration of haemoglobin falls in the blood. Adults men have slightly higher concentration than women and children.
There are 3 main causes of anaemia:-
* Loss of blood from the circulation, i.e., external or internal haemorrhage.
* Increased loss of red blood cells.
* Reduced production of arythrocytes and haemoglobin.
